Welcome to the new Middlebury community forum focused on all issues of social equality, political activism, and the common good. The purpose of this site is to bring students, faculty, staff, and community together, whether as groups or individuals in order to promote an exchange of ideas and collaboration on projects focused on the common good.

We are in the development stages so many groups and issues are not yet included, feel free to add your own group or issues or if you can't figure it out or just want to provide feedback post in the feedback section and we will get to it as soon as possible.

While this site is open to the world, it's primary intention is to be used by the Middlebury College community (this is purposefully vague and I hope it will include anybody with ties to Middlebury College in any form, whether in the town, state, or simply interested in finding out more about our activities). If you participate, please sign your posts with your name so that we can start to build off-line relationships and a real community while communicating over the Internet.

I hope this forum begins a new era of communication and creates an online network at Middlebury, please enjoy and share as much knowledge and as many ideas as you can.

Here we go!

Austen, the more I play with this the easier it gets. I wonder if a FAQ re. use would be possible/helpful?

I think this website needs promotion around campus. Maybe some e-mails to list serves about it? Maybe put on Facebook or something.

so far, this is looking pretty great. but more than a few of these posts deserve a wiki... I can help run one if you want. I set one up a while back but it was never really followed through:
http://middwiki.apoctrack.com it's hosted on my server, and could get its own domain, and/or it could be moved somewhere more central. I played around with other wiki software too, but most people are familiar with mediawiki since wikipedia runs on it... edit: here's the other main contender: http://apoctrack.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php

anyways, lemme know
